“Our story began with a shared longing for a space where creativity could be nurtured and creatives empowered, so we imagined a hub rooted in authenticity, culture, and community.”
Pukka is a non-profit creative initiative rooted in traditional Eastern wisdom. The word “pukka” means authentic, unique, real, and in today’s language, it simply means “cool.” We are dedicated to the slow design movement, which values the relationship between the creative maker, their craft, and ultimately the mindful choice of the end user, similar to the farm-to-table movement.
We support a diverse community of regional creatives through:
— A curated showroom that celebrates handmade, unique works,
— A digital platform to share and sell thoughtful creations,
— Collaborative resources, workshops, and workroom residencies to nurture and grow your practice with meaningful dialogue and exchange.
Whether you’re an artist, designer, craftsperson, curious learner, or a supporter of meaningful creativity, Pukka is a place to connect, create, and be part of something real.
